As you might have noticed, most of the tags I've been showing are simple tags. They were not overly embellished because I wanted the Lindy's Stamp Gang products to be the star =D
On this tag I have another wooden crown (similar to the one I used on tag #5 on my previous post), which I painted using my Starburst Stain in the color Wild Honey Suckle Coral, and embellished using some silver bling pieces. I framed the crown with a frame I cut out of medium weight chipboard using the Sizzix Frame Hanging with Scallop die. I then took the frame and embossed it using one of Tim Holtz's embossing folders, and sprayed it with my Scintilating Silver Glitz Spritz. I added two acrylic transparent flowers to both sides of the frame to accent it with some bling factor lol.
On the top of the tag I added three mulberry paper roses, six mulberry paper mini rose buds, three script mulberry paper leaves, and two clear beaded sprays. The big rose I colored using my Wild Honey Suckle Coral Starburst Spray. The two small roses I colored using Glory of the Seas Gold , and then I embossed the edges the the petals using Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder in the color Geranium Coral Blush. The mini rose buds where colored using two different Starburst Sprays: Frosted Forget Me Nots and Magnolia Magenta Gold. I also sprayed the three leaves with My Mojito Green Starburst Stain. At the bottom of the tag, I added a banner which I cut using one of my Spellbinders Ribbon Banner dies. I stampped Oooh-la-la! with brown ink, and distressed the inside of the banner with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. I also added some ivory, beaded ribbon to add a little bit more sparkle.
The background of the tag I kept very simple with just the designer paper, which was from the Colorbok Flea Market Collection. Leaving it plain allowed for all the shimmer in all the other elements of the tag to pop out much better than if I had done something else to it, and like I always say sometimes, less is more. Hope you enjoyed!
This is one of my favs!! LOVE! T4S
