This and That Hello

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Today I wanted to share a really colorful card I made for a friend. I used another one of my Greeting Farm Stamps for this one, and the This and That collection from Echo Park. Love the bright colors on this one!

I added some white gel pen lines to add extra detail to the different paper mats I added in the background of the card. I think the white makes the mats pop a little from the background. I totally forget to add details like these on my projects sometimes...I have to remind myself to do it more often...

Here's the inside of the card. Really simple like always. I used one of my newest punches on this one too. It's a double punch by EK Success...the flowers in the of the card were the punched pieces left after punching the border you see on the inside. I hate throwing any pieces away lol

Rainy Day Sophie

Hello everyone! It has been raining like crazy over my neck of the woods, and well, I'm sick of it lol. The humidity is just awful, and well, you can't get anywhere without getting soaked!  However, among all the yuckiness (like frogs jumping everywhere ewww!), today is the perfect time to share with you Rainy Day Sophie. She's a digital image from Sweet Nothing's Stamp Company, and she's adorable.

I love her little doggie, and had fun coloring the water puddles.  I wanted to make this a cheery and happy card and therefore used really bright colors and lots of pretty flowers which I sprayed with my awesome Blazing Sun Glitz Spritz By Lindy's Stamp Gang. As you might have noticed, I'm spraying it on EVERYTHING!

Like always, very simple of the inside, leaving enough room to write a message inside the card.

Super Cute Together Mini Album

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend.

Today I wanted to share with you a mini album I created from scratch using the Paper Niche's May Design Kit. I used thin weight black chipboard to make this whole album base. I also included an acrylic page in the album, which is an addition I like to include in many of the albums I create.

Using the DIY Thicker letters included in the kit, I incorporated some micro-beads to my project. I haven't used micro beads in ages, and thought the Thickers would look really cool with them. Here's a close up of how they ended up looking.

Paper Pieced Thank You

Hello everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you a paper pieced card I made for a friend. I totally LOVE paper piecing because it just makes all the details on the card so cohesive. It's weird that I like it so much, because I hate cutting lol. Yes, I said it, I hate cutting. I'd rather color than cut any day! lol 

I used one of my Greeting Farm Stamps again, since I'm trying to use little by little all the stamps that I have collected from the Farm, but have not used. This one is the same image I used for the card HERE. 

I'm making it an issue to practice coloring black hair, because it's still giving me a bit of trouble. Don't know why. Maybe because I want  the hair to look dark and not white...I struggle specifically when there is a small area I need to color...I bet if the hair was way bigger I would do a better job, because I tend to color better in long strokes than in short ones...mmmm....that's something I need to try (get a stamp with bigger hair and try coloring it black). I will put it in my to do list hehe.
I used The Vanity Fair Paper Collection by My Mind's Eye, some Stampin up punches (medium oval, large scallop oval and label punch), as well as a Stampin up Sentiment. I also used my oval Nestabilities dies as well as my scallop oval Nestabilities die. I sneaked in my new favorite Martha Stewart Leaf punch (seem to want to use it on everything), some Want to Scrap Black Bling, two clay roses I got in a rak from a friend, and some mulberry paper flowers. The lace in the back was also received in a rak (Random Act of Kindness), and I love the color of it, just perfect for this card.

On the inside, just some layering of the paper, with enough room to write a sentiment. This card is my response to Jo and Rina's paper piecing challenge for the week. Hope you like it. I have a mini Album to share on my next post. You don't want to miss it :)

Shabby Crown Card with LSG

I decided to make another "imageless card", and I created this Shabby Crown Card using the London Market Collection by Pink Paisley.  I used two colors of one of the new sets by Lindy's Stamp Gang, the Nantucket Pearls. The colors have a pearlescent shimmer to them, instead of the usual shimmery shimmer the LSG products are known for. It's a really nice set, perfect to use on Shabby Chic Projects.

I used the Clam Bake Beige Starburst Stain on the paper doily, for that pearlescent vintage color you see, and for the mulberry paper flowers, I used the Salt Water Taffy Starburst Stain.

I added some flat-back pearls and trim on the bottom of the card, and framed the crown, which was cut from one of the papers, using chipboard frame. I added some pink pearls to the crown just to make it pop out of the middle of the frame and flowers. Love all those pearls!

On the inside of the card, like always, I keep it pretty simple, leaving just enough room to write something inside the card. The paper punch I used on the pink paper is by EK success, and one of my current favorites and most recent punch purchase. Have I told you I'm a punch-aholic? Well, if I haven't, let me tell you, I am, I admit it! lol

Altered Canvas for a friend

Hi everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you an altered canvas I created for a friend using Lindy's Stamp Gang products. I'm totally in love with the final product, and kind of sad it left my home, but I'm happy because she deserves it and I really hope she liked it, or I'll take it back with no problems lol.

 I had a really good time making this project, and love all the dimension it has.

My favorite though, is the wood frame  (I got it at my local Michael's) which I altered, spraying some Incandescent Copper, and Van Dyke Sepia Moon Shadow Mists, and then adding some Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing Powders in the colors Midnight Copper and Byzantine Bronze. I LOVE the look it gave to the wood, and like I've said in the past, I LOVE sprinkling Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing Powders on my projects.

I also used my new favorite, the Glitz Spritz in the color Blazing Sun on all the paper flowers I used. In the next picture you can see a close up of one of the flowers, and the wonderful gold shimmer on it. I spray it on everything now!

Twisted Easel Black & White Card

I'm back again today with another card post. This one is in a completely different color scheme from what I usually do. It is completely black and white. I made this in response to a little challenge two of my YouTube scrappy friends had among themselves. Jo (paperdrama on YT) and Rina (scrapstress on YT) challenged each other to make a black and white card, Copic colored image included. They asked in their videos to join their challenge, just for fun if we liked to, and after some encouragement from Jo, I joined in. Here is my finished card.

Copic Coloring an image in just black and white is a new thing for me, and I think it turned out pretty decent for my first time doing it. I really love it, actually. On top of the black oval, what you see is some white Tulle fabric, I added just to add a little bit, more interest on the card.

I used Cryogen white paper (which already has a little sparkle on it), and that is the reason why the colored image looks so sparkly all over on these close ups.

It was also my first time doing a twisted easel card, and I totally love the 3D look.

An Image-less Card

I've been meaning to sit down and blog for days now, but it has become impossible since I've been doing a lot of family stuff, plus I've been helping a friend cleaning, and organizing her craft room,  spending most of my free time with her. My "crafting time", or the time I can dedicate to "artsy, blog and video stuff" is very limited, so lately I've just been doing other things. I did however create this card, and for a change, I did not color an image for it, like I've been doing with my cards lately.

Perfect for Mother's Day, and I wish I would have been able to post it Sunday, right on Mother's Day, but hey, better late than never, right? I used my Stampin up Doily background stamp, which I embossed on a piece of light green vellum using white embossing powder. Underneath the doily I added some gold mesh trim I recently purchased.
For the sentiment I used one of my Spellbinder's Fancy Labels die, and I embossed a sentment from a Unity Stamp set I never had used before. It is called A Mother's Love. I added two gold buttons to the sides of the label, and set the complete embellishment on a mat of kraft cardstock, which I embossed using my Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing folder, and glued onto a green card base, in a not so straight manner I might add lol. I always have issues gluing mats straight on my card, not to mention making straight cuts... You think I can blame it on my trimmer?? lol.
I absolutely love this doily stamp and should use it more often. Hope you guys like it!

Today I have a quick post with a card I made using one of my Greeting Farm Stamps.

 I used one of my Spellbinders, Want to Scrap bling, Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, flat back pearl trim, and some crochet lace from Making Memories.

I added a mulberry paper rose on the image's hair, and cut out the sentiment with one of my Stampin up label punches. The sentiment is from an American Craft's acrylic stamp set.

 On the inside. super simple with space left for my journaling.

I used the Vanity Fair collection from My Minds Eye and paper pieced the image. Hope you liked today's share.
