Sweet Sophie Sitting in the Garden

I've had quite a rough couple of days with my Emily being extremely sick, and I want to thank everyone who has emailed me, contacted me, and asked me about how she's been doing, and how I was doing through it all. I really appreciate all your support. It's amazing how you find out who really truly cares... it's in times like this when you know who your friends really are, and I'm very blessed to say, that many of you have been extremely supportive, and caring in this tough time for me. As a parent, it's extremely rough to see your child suffering, and I've never had to deal with this extent of illness coming from her, so you can just imagine my anguish... thank you all for all your advice, kind worlds, text messages, e-mails, prayers,  and well wishes...it's meant the world to me. Unfortunately, we are still not out of the woods yet, as she's still extremely ill, but I keep praying that soon this will be over.
Today I wanted to share with you this super fun card I created using the Sweet Sophie digital stamp. I sat Sophie in the middle of a garden, and I think she looks really cute, sitting among the flowers.
I used Crate Paper's Farmhouse paper collection on this card, colored her using my Copic Markers, and added tons of mulberry paper flowers, which I accented with some glitter glue. On her dress, after coloring it with my Copic Markers, I added some Diamond Dust, just to "bling" her up a bit, and I love the way she sparkles in the center of the card.
This is a step card, the first one I've ever made, and I love the 3D look of it. I added some cardstock grass pieces, which I punched out using my Fiskars' Grass punch, and I added quite a bit of flowers, just to add more dimension to the card, as well as to get a more realistic garden look, on top of the bright, flowery design papers.
I like to keep the insides of my cards pretty simple most of the time, and for this one I just layered some more of the paper inside, leaving some space to write a message.
Hope you enjoyed this card. Make sure you check out all the other sweet images at the Sweet Nothing's Stamp Co. shop, and thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!
